Mugatu Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 Oh here we go, Marine sues insurgents for shooting at him. Should have known that it was going to hurt ... Seriously I thought the military guys waived a lot of rights on sign up. Shouldn't the USAF have known the aircraft were breaking up before Boeing.
tflash Posted March 26, 2008 Posted March 26, 2008 I get your point, but I do think this guy has valid reasons for his complaint: - first of all he suffered injuries effectively ending his career; - the longeron in his jet was NOT built to the specifications - the longeron fault has only been discovered, as far as we know, because of this incident I would say the manufacturer has a liability here. I think any lawyer would suggest his client to sue in such a case. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Vekkinho Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 If I had parts breaking and falling off from a car I'm in while doing 130 kph on a freeway I'd sue the car manufacturer. Same thing! 130 kph ain't much of a speed, I didn't push it over the egde nor did the pilot while pulling 6G in Eagle. If plane ain't capable of sustained 6G maneuver than it's Boeing's problem. Mugatu Posted March 27, 2008 Posted March 27, 2008 What was the contracted life of the airframe, how many over gs has it pulled, etc etc. Can't pin it on Boeing yet. Funny how most of the other F15s are ok :) Can't sue the airforce so lets try Boeing.
