With the announcement of the soon to be released APKWS for the A-10C II, I was wondering if Deka is finally going to revise the BRM to the proper scheme instead of being a beam rider?

They already got rid of beam rider. I am sure they will get around to using APKWS API for BRM. I am more curious to know how well it is developed and how much damage it will do to tanks since there was riot when BRM was introduced.

Airplanes : A-10C II | AJS-37 | A/V-8B | F-4E | F-14A/B | F/A-18C | FC3 | JF-17 | M2000-C
Helicopters : AH-64D | CH-47F | Ka-50 III | Mi-24P | Mi-8MTV2 | SA342 | UH-1H

Other Modules : Combined Arms | Persian Gulf | Afghanistan

Does APKWS spin as it semi actively guides? If it doesn’t spin, it won’t be the right scheme, right now it doesn’t spin at all, but they changed the guidance from beam riding to semi active from popular demand. In real life it spins and moves on one axis like Vikhr but semi active laser

Oh I guess I must have missed that update. When did they change it? Last I read a few months ago they didn't want to change it unless they could get the rockets to spin.

The BRM-1 90mm is a laser guided weapon like APKWS. It has it seeker at the front and not at the back like beam riding missiles. The UG 90MM is the same like BRM-1 but unguided and the BRU-33 -2 Lau-68 - 7 2.75 rockets MK5 are just unguided Hydra 70

What do you need to know? There’s quite a bit of information BRM-1 90 and APKWS and Hydra rockets, the BRM is usually displayed at Zuhai and many JF-17 sources also include info such as the marketing placard, which is the most information you will get publicly outside of Janes. In game the BRM is currently semi active laser homing , but it doesn’t spin like real life.
