I'm sure you are aware of this. The F-14 requires plenty of power to taxi while its RL counterpart could taxi at idle and even had to shutdown one engine at times in order not to overspeed (when lightly loaded).

The issue is well understood in DCS, as a workaroudn to avoid sliping on the carrier deck, however this has since been mostly resolved on the other carrier capable fighter, the F-18, which can now taxi with very little power.

Wondering when this will be addressed for the F-14 as well.

Thanks.

It is not only the carrier deck, also on ground. at the moment, given the values that we are able to tune, this is the compromise to have enough, but not too much friction, while in fact ofc it is too much atm. If we losen it, then for example even breaking when landing on a common runway will make you slide into the grass, you would start slithering around corners, etc.

We are aware that both F16 and F18 have been significantly improved in this regard, or better to say, F16 didnt have much issues with it (although the F14 is also much heavier). We need to see with ED, how much of what they did transpires to us and when we can get it and apply it. My guess is that it is still something being a bit WIP, and thus we're still working with an older model. It's been mentioned as one of the items in the last update though, means: it is very much on our minds.
