Because you use ground crew/intercom menu (ICS). Bind PTT radio buttons for AN/ARC-159 (Pilot radio) and AN/ARC-182 (RIO radio) and use those.

 

Sublime: show us those miz and trk. I'd like to have a look. My radios work flawlessly apart from recent bug with mode selector. Quick guess maybe AM/FM mode?
