Just a quick question regarding PD settings in the Oculus Tray Tool, and inside the actual game.

If I set 1.4 PD in the Oculus Tray Tool, and then set 1.4 inside the game options, will this actually add these two together? Should I use one or the other? Or both?

Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

The oculus SDK reports a render target to the game, that is then altered by the debug tool multiplier.

So if you in game also add a pd of 1.4 it is a compound multiplication not just an addition.

Take the Rfit-s it's native render target at quality setting is 1648x1776.

With Debug tool pd at 1.4 that target is 2340x2480, and you then add the game multiplier on top of that.

i7 8700k @ 4.7, 32GB 2900Mhz, 1080ti, CV1

Virpil MT-50\Delta, MFG Crosswind, Warthog Throttle, Virptil Mongoost-50 throttle.

Hmmm, roger that. No wonder I was getting kind of strange performance issues :)

I never seam to have much luck with the the tools. Perhaps I can get some help :)

1. Do you restart the OT tools every time you alter the settings, or is it live?

2 Do you shut down your oculus VR programs?

3 What order do you start them. Ie., OT tools, oculus main, and then DCS?

Thanks

Ok this is basically how I do it (I use the Rift S)

Oculus VR Main > Oculus Tray Tool > DCS World

Whenever I alter settings I close down DCS World, so I don't get any wonky effects but you pretty much want to keep Main and Tools running in the background all the time if you intend to fly VR.

Here: Oculus Tray Tool (autostart with Windows because i often forgot to start it when in DCS) - Oculus VR Main (manual start) - DCS.

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!
