mikkebos Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Hi guys, Everytime I create new mission in DCS i have to remember to set all airplanes waypoints to the ground level. Now default waypoint height is 2000m AGL and I can't see any sense why this height has been set. I think changing default waypoint height to 0m AGL could prevent new players confusion when they are trying to slave TGP to waypoint on their created mission and it is not looking at the place they expect to. This small change could also save time during mission making. Thanks Mike
draconus Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 It could be ME option set by user. Most WP are used as a flight waypoints esp. for AI so 0 is not good at all but it usually has to be changed anyway by the mission creator. Exorcet Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 The default height is above ground most likely to prevent quickly placed aircraft from crashing immediately on mission start. A default waypoint height would probably be a good variable to allow players to change individually in the mission options so you could set a good value for whatever particular mission you're making.
