Logitech X56 Space/Flight H.O.T.A.S.

I purchased the X56 Space/Flight H.O.T.A.S.and it is great the HOTAS stick looks exactly like the F16C stick but the 2 small analog thumb sticks are hard to map as many of the controls in the sim button mappings are button based and not analog based, I basically would like to have the stick to be programmed exactly like an F16 stick, I couldn't find some of the options like the countermeasures management switch in the analog controls, are they there or will they be added in the future?

Oh, that is a good suggestion.

Adding new key-binds to the Joystick/default.lua of modules that allow for analog sticks to be used as inputs would be nice.

Until then - I am forced to use the Logitech X56 HUD (a.k.a SST) Software to set up the C Stick, and Mouse Mini stick as 4-way hats using Bands.

Certainly not perfect, but better than nothing.

The best Video I found for introduction to how to use the software and different use cases including BANDS is here:

As a workaround I believe you can use the logitech software to map different keys to the analog sticks based on direction and % of travel.

I much prefer to bypass the logitech software and have it all in DCS so it's a great suggestion but if you're looking to be able to do this right now, you can. :-)

Totally agree - Not using the Logitech Software or using it as Little as Possible is the best approach.

I was thrilled when I found a MOD in the user downloads that let me use the X56 Slider (2 Position Switch) as an Air Brake. I was able to use that mod and hints for it to get the Slider Airbrake working on all my Jets!

Hi, This doesn't work with the X-56 C Stick

Hi Devil-101 - Not sure what is not working for you, but I do have an X56 Stick and program the C-Stick using the Logitech software.

For example - I have a Profile for the F-5E using C Stick that operates the Gun Doors "T" on the X-Axis. And for Y-axis selecting Dogfight Resume /Forward and /AFT " 5 and 6 ".

I have Uploaded an attachment to my F-5E profile as a quick example. You can rename the profile and edit the key inputs for any other module.
