mvsgas Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Man, That video must be from late 80 early 90. The aircraft still has turbine rotation painting. Look like the pilot had the aircraft in Dog fight mode. HUD is completely decluttered, no air speed or altitude indication. I wander if he did any damage to the main supporting structure (bulk heads, ribs, longerons, etc) To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
Pilotasso Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 In 1996 tiger meet a PoAF F-16 colidded in midair with a british FRADU Hawk MK60 and flew back home with half of a horizontal stabilizer. The hawk was lost (the F-16 cut it behind the cockpit causing catastrophic fuel leakage) but the pilot survived with no injuries. .
nscode Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 My friend, a mechanic, once had to pull high voltage power lines from a MiG-21 wing.. they were 10cm in :music_whistling: Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
