Bikolo10 Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 I just randomly decided to get on DCS and hop in a plane to fly around. When trying to move my joystick nothing happen, but the joystick and throttle are working completely fine. I took a look in the settings and found out that the controls in the axis commands wasnt showing up for roll, pitch, etc. I don't know how this could happen and why. Help would be great.
Flappie Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Hi Bikolo. Thank you for the screenshot. We need your log files to understand what's happening to you. We need the dcs.log and dxdiag.log files. You'll find them under C:\Users\your_name\Saved Games\DCS\Logs. ---
Bikolo10 Posted October 23, 2020 Author Posted October 23, 2020 I see know the files that you need from me but which one of these is it. I just want to be sure that im giving the correct stuff.
Flappie Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 The one simply called 'dcs' in your screenshot seems to be the dcs.log file I'm after. It will show if DCS was able to see your peripherals or not. You should also find a 'dxdiag' file in that same folder, but if you can't find it, it's no big deal. This file shows if your peripherals are well detected by DirectX. If you can't ID the right files, simply zip the 5 most recent files and attach the zip file. ---
Flappie Posted October 24, 2020 Posted October 24, 2020 Thank you. If you are on a 64-bit machine, click on “Run 64-bit DxDiag”, If not, then continue on. 4. Wait for the green bar to finish loading. 5. Bikolo10 Posted October 25, 2020 Author Posted October 25, 2020 Thanks for the great information so far.DxDiag.txt
Bikolo10 Posted October 25, 2020 Author Posted October 25, 2020 I also plugged up my HOTAS stuff if that helps with anything.
Flappie Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 DirectX has found both your T16000M joystick and TWCS throttle. It means they should show up in DCS. Now, keep them connected to your PC, and launch DCS. They should appear in the controls options. If they are, go to your aircraft Axis category and check the Pitch and Roll commands. Ensure that your T16000M Y and X axis are bound to them. If they are, you should see bars moving as you move the joystick around. ---
Flappie Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Please try renaming your "C:\Users\your_name\Saved Games\DCS" folder as "DCS_backup", then launch the game and see if it's any better. ---
Bikolo10 Posted October 25, 2020 Author Posted October 25, 2020 I did that but it still isnt working properly.
Flappie Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Then you should consider running the cleanup and repair procedure. ---
