Valkyrien Posted November 5, 2020 Posted November 5, 2020 My group runs our own callsigns outside of the default set used by DCS, up till now we've been able to add them into missions via a mod to Scripts>Database>db_callnames.lua. it seems the hornet datalink uses a seperate lookup table to display callsigns next to datalink tracks in the HMD (or i set something up wrong when i was doing my own testing), anyone have the slightest clue where this lookup table could be hiding?
Valkyrien Posted November 5, 2020 Author Posted November 5, 2020 On further testing, It seems to be pulling from the DL callsign, which i cannot for the life of me figure out how to change
Valkyrien Posted November 5, 2020 Author Posted November 5, 2020 Further testing from the above, Link 16 seems to be checking a lookup table of some kind to provide shorthand, and if a shorthand isnt provided, it spits out the index number of the callsign in the callsignsAircraft table from db_callnames.lua the table is nowhere to be found, even after a search of the whole goddamned directory
Vakarian Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 @Valkyrien Any luck in figuring this out? Seems like a great idea so I too added some callsigns for my group so I copied it :) One thing, it is expected not to get voice-overs for the new callsigns?
