Annoying problem

I dont know what is this, sometimes it comes up and i cant do anything with it :huh:. I think something is wrong with my video card (Galaxy GeForce 7600GT 256mb..)

And yes, im using the latest driver what is out for it (169.21)

 

Please if anyone know how to get rid of it write. Thanks along.

Oh and the F-14D model is not a problem, it appears with other planes too.

 

Edit: Reinstalled, and still doing it. Windows reinstall is not helping too. I'm using 4xAA / 4xAF.

Is it happens only in Lock on? If yes so Videocard is good, if not it means broken GPU or video drivers. Maybe try do benchmark in 3d mark or another application to monitor temperature.

 

Also two my friends had problems with 169 drivers, maybe try back to 163?

I'm impressed...and joking!

 

Now I'm turning serious. My hint is to try some other games U have on your HD. Look for similar artifacts, check Color Quality in your settings (highest 32 bit). If it's set like that and U have similar problems in other games than it might be your graphic card RAM!

Yes, only happens with LO. I tryed the 163.75 / 71 drivers too, without success.. :(

I won't be oryginal and say try reinstall game and back default graphic settings for FC in nVidia Panel (turn off ANizo, AA ect.).

 

So it happens only to FC so IMO game is fault and|or settings in nVidia.

 

or something mod?

i use these tweaked drivers .

i found them to be great with lockon , as well as other games .

are you useing a drive cleaner ?

when you uninstall the gpu drivers ?

it may be a good idea .

heres my drivers .

its the tweaked 84.56 .

Yes. Before it started to do this it worked perfectly for about a half year.

Thanks Littlejohn, im gonna try it right now! And yes im using Driver Cleaner to uninstall drivers.

EDIT: Hmm. Those drivers are not compatible with the Galaxy version. :(

if memeory serves me right , i got that messeage also .

i clicked , install anyways .

if that option is there . click it .

i did try alot of recent drivers before .

i found the older drivers , much better .

before i found those , i used the 94.24 with good success .

again , i sure hope you get things fixed up .

Well, it doesnt give me that option.:( Im still trying with it. I guess its a CPU problem. its an 1,8Ghz core, very old.

 

I'll going to buy a new rig in the summer, hope that will solve the problem.

did you try the drivers that came with your disk?

it seems funny that it worked for a half year .

dont give up just yet , keep trying .

did you try playing with the nvidia controll panel .

try NO,,,, aa/ af .

it may be something simple .

CPU? IMO not! If it is only FC (yes it is) so it isn't hardware issue :)

i have the xfx 7600 gt .

i have it overclocked . i am not sure that matters .

my nv controll panel is as follows .

 

aa=2xq

af=16

iq = high quality

vertical sync=on

force mipmaps=bilinear

gammacorrect antialiasing = on

transparency antialasing =multisampling

tripple buffering = on

 

try a cpu stress tester like prime 95 . that checks the cpu and memory , i believe . run that for a few hours , if it passes , its not your cpu .

just keep trying there .

Yes, its sure now that its not hardware problem. when my comp was freezed i get an error message from my video card. Must be some trouble with the drivers.

check the temp file , in the lockon folder .

there might be an erro log file there .

Yes, of course, i'll have to download 3dmark first, but my network is very very slow now dont know why... :huh: i'll try with it tomorrow. Thanks for everyones help.

ati tool is a good program for scanning for artifacts .

you can get it here .

run it for 15 minutes or so .it will stress you card to the max .

if the card is running hot , etc , the program will show ya .

i just hope you gets your card running . its a great little midrange gpu .

how are your temps?

never above 50 here, on load . usually idles at 35 .

ati tool will monitor your temps while running .

 

 

does this happen to other planes you fly .

i have the vnao mod installed also .

no problems .

try another plane . it might be something missing in the mod?

try a default plane .

I've run ATITool for 15 minutes without problems. max tempreture was 61 C

 

I'll gonna run 3dmark 06 too.

 

And it happens with all planes, not only with the F-14.

did you try the oridignal driver that came with the card?

if its not the hardward , it can only be a software problem .

it may be only simple . but finding it may be hard .

did you consider re-installing everything from scratch . windows /lockon?

thats a heavy suggestion , i know , but i really dont know what else to tell ya .

hopefully someone had a simular problem , and will post a fix .

i sure hope so .

try another driver .

the main advice i can give ya is ,, dont give up .

go to the nvidia gpu section .

do a search on the 7600gt artifacting .

there is a nice few suggestions there that you could check .

they mention the power supply , and memory .

if its the later one , ALT+TAB ,

the game will go to the desktop , then click on ,,lockon at the bottom , to go into the game again .

I play a while until this problem appears. ALT+TAB works sometimes, but i'll post a pic what happens whem im alt+tab- ing... :(
