RTMabry Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 The game updated today and now I am having problems launching the game. It seems to get stuck on the full screen DCS World screen were the version number is shown. The game loads to the point of the menu screen. Looking in Tasker Manager (processes) DCS shows "Not responding." That went away and I was able to launch as quick mission but then it locked up again and the Task Manager is showing "Not responding." I have to click "end task" in Task Manager to exit the game.
Flappie Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Hi,if you have a steering wheel connected to your PC, you have to unplug it to launch DCS. This issue will be fixed in a few days. If you don't have a wheel connected, try this. It you're still stuck after this, please attach your "C:\Users\your_name\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Logs\dcs.log" file. ---
RTMabry Posted November 8, 2020 Author Posted November 8, 2020 I tried the following: empty "C:\Users\Rickey\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS" folder (it's safe) and retry to fly? It did not work. Still stuck on the full screen DCS World screen. Next I tried, If you can't reach the main menu, simply edit "C:\Users\Flav\Saved Games\DCS\Config\options.lua" ( ["fullScreen"] = false, ). That worked. Thanks!
