what does the flashing “note” indicate in the HUD? And how do you cancel it?

TMS L SHORT will cancel.

 

Generally, when you get “NOTE” in the HUD, you have a small white pop up message on your MFCDs.

Or you can press the OSB below ACK which will be displayed on the MFDs. This also allows you to reference the message, which as another stated, is highlighted by a white box on the bottom right of each MFD.
