Hi, I'm having some trouble using the radios and adf beacons. This is what I'm seeing. Flying on the Caucuses map, I set COMM2 to the ADF beacon over Tbilisi (113.700) manually and switch the ADF source swtich to COMM2. Then change COMM1 to ATC,AWACS,FLIGHT ect. THe adf is tuned in and I get the heading cue on my HSI. Then I go to COMM1 and try to talk to whoever, I then lose my heading cue and COMM2 changes to whatever freq I'm using on COMM1. I don't get why I have 2 radios if using one changes the channel on the other? Can someone explain to me what I'm missing or is this some sort of bug. Please I'm so confused, I had trouble sleeping last night trying to wrap my brain around this.

after much hair pulling I managed to get the radio to behave the way I expected this morning. Was a combination of my settings and ignorance of the system. Thanx again for taking 5 seconds to point me in the right direction.

Sure thing, sometimes strange things happen with all the assists that can be turned on in DCS.

yeah turns out there are 2 locations where ez comms can be turned on or off. Your main sim settings and again in the mission file via the editor. I initially only turned off the main setting not even knowing it was a mission specific option too. Once both were off I could operate the radios independent of each other. Just a little FYI there in case anyone ever runs into this problem themselves.
