Hodo Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 Is there any plans of creating the 2000-5 model for in-game. The 2000C is a great fighter but it falls short when dealing with more modern aircraft that are fox-3 trucks. Or even against other fox-1 fighters. The limit of 4 missiles is really frustrating considering the range of the aircraft.
Steph21 Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Razbam (Prowler if i remember correctly) mentioned a while ago now that they would do it. I'm not sure it's still in their plans French Air Force was very interested with it if it could be delivered quickly, to use it like they use the 2000C to train their pilots. But it seems it's not the case anymore for whatever reasons (probably because they realized that it wouldn't be delivered quickly). The was the only opportunity to have it done quickly. So now, if done one day, it won't be before years as several other modules are in the loop (Super Tucano, Mig 23, F-15E, and some others). And if i have to wait 5-10 years, i'd rather have the Rafale. But the Typhoon is coming, so i'll be enjoying the 2000C until it's released, and it will make me wait until the -5 or the Rafale if one of them is ever done in DCS 1
TLTeo Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 Yeah it's part of a really long list of modules announced by RB. Whether any of those happens or not (beyond the Strike Eagle) is anyone's guess, with some (Mig-23, Super Tucano, EE Lightning) being more likely than others. 1

I won't go into my bewilderment over the EE. But ok whatever it's better than another late model fighter.
