VH-Rock Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Would it be possible for us to get the rear seat functional in the TF-51? It would add a great deal of fun to using the TF online and there's no addition systems to add so I can't imagine it would be a huge challenge to enable it. It would also be a good way to demonstrate the multicrew capabilities of DCS to new players and provide a significant training aid given the lack of period trainer (PT-17 or T-6). FSX737200 Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Would be amazing to have a 2 Seater but then also having a Stearman or Harvard would be awesome to fly with as well

An aircraft that really deserves to be simulated to DCS level and would be the perfect tool for training newer pilots to fly the high powered tail draggers. That said, I think just enabling the second seat in the TF-51 would be much more feasible... I really don't think it would be a huge amount for work for a game changing experience for Mustang / Taildragger pilots. Virtual Horsemen - Right Wing (P-51) - 2008... Instruction would be a hundred percent better just with the possibility of the instructor being seated behind the pilot even without any interaction with the aircraft. S! P.S.: and either the T-6 would be so awesome to fly in DCS :pilotfly: 1 "I went into the British Army believing that if you want peace you must prepare for war. zcrazyx Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 I'm for any ww2 trainer in the sim, the more the merrier imo, Stearman, Harvard, Tiger Moth, Bucker Jungman
VH-Rock Posted November 20, 2020 Author Posted November 20, 2020 I'm for any ww2 trainer in the sim, the more the merrier imo, Stearman, Harvard, Tiger Moth, Bucker Jungman Absolutely! But a T-6 really would be an amazing addition to DCS, I think. Done in a similar style to the Yak with full dual control capability etc... It would also give a new lease of life to campaign creators. You could start off at a small field in basic training in a PT-17, move through to the T-6 and then on to the P-47/P-51 in combat. That would be awesome! But first, please give us a rear seat in the Mustang :) Virtual Horsemen - Right Wing (P-51) - 2008... Virtual Ultimate Fighters - Lead (P-47) - 2020...
