And no it does not impact the realism. Don't use them, if you still think it does, that simple. Besides, read what Naquaii posted above. It is realistic to have them. And even if it wasn't, it would be plausible enough.

 

It's a feature that adds playability. Don't like it? Don't use it... There's no reason to get that riled up about that. It's not like we added a laser cannon on gimbals...

 

Let's please move on. There are bigger fish to fry.

I like to fly Viggen at Night but as Heatblur degraded the systems below flight safety requirements Viggen is now a Day-Only Fighter (IRL Swedish Air Force)

It has absolutely zero to do with the lighting. Zip.

 

It is a plausible feature that was indeed used by the swedish airforce, at occasions, even if it wasn't a standard feature. It adds playability and no one forces you to use it. It hasn't been added because someone has been complaining about night flying, but because we thought it to be a nice addition. It also will not be removed because someone is complaining that "it's unrealistic".

 

You know guys, we bend over backwards in trying to make all of you happy. And that's fine. In return we simply ask that you try to accept that not everything will always be to your very best liking. Thank you for your kind understanding.
