Sonic crack for warbirds / smaller calibres

Currently we only get the sonic crack from 20mm and up in modern jets, but the WW2 and Korean warbirds are totally forgotten. .50cal, .303, 7.92mm, even the Spit's 20mm cannon are lacking completely in the external sound department. You can't hear the muzzle blasts unless right next to the airplane, and the rounds make no sonic cracks whatsoever.
