R.MES Posted November 28, 2020 Posted November 28, 2020 Hi Glyn, First, thank you for this campaign. After the free to play one, I was looking forward playing the sequel. So far (mission 5) I am not disappointed. It's excellent and I really enjoy playing "Ford" again. By the way, I have some remarks : 1- (not specific to this mission) Waypoints of the flight are not showed on the F10 map. I suppose it's the problem described HERE . But in some others missions / campaigns (see the thread), waypoints appear. Do you know why ? 2- I spend several minutes in the official manual to find how to switch to the right "precise" format. The briefing doc says "HSI -> Data -> Act" but it's rather "HSI -> Data -> A/C -> LATLN ..." 3- It's a unimportant detail but Stennis control suggest a CASE I approach despite the bad weather ... I was a bit surprised as I expected a Case II (but no problem to land and the lights on the deck were on)

I'm afraid the ACT is a typo and I meant you could deal with it on the A/C page. Will get that changed. In the new campaign I am writing at the moment I have given a clear description and indicated which button it is. Thanks for pointing it out though. 3.0 The Serpents Head 2 was actually written a long time ago. Even before the supercarrier was brought out and before the various Case approaches were fully established in DCS. So this is why the response is as you have indicated. My current campaign apart from being some 15 missions continues Fords career as he moves to the Gulf. Obviously the new campaign fully embraces the Abraham Lincoln Super Carrier and all the Case procedures as they are all now firmly in the main stream DCS. Hope you enjoy the rest of the campaign and sorting out "Snake", he's a slippery customer. The new campaign I am producing is called "Rise of the Persian Lion" Glyn (Badger 633) F/A-18C Campaigns : The Serpent’s Head / The Serpent’s Head 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5.0Ghz / Gigabyte 2080ti water force extreme / 32 Gb RAM Corsair Dominator Platinum 3600 / 2Tb Samsung 970 Evoplus NVMe M.2 / Thrustmaster Warthog Hotas / Thrustmaster Pedals / Valve Index.
