Vive VR lens mod is in. Impressed beyond my expectations

Just got my Vive Cosmos lens mod kit in today (the one from Etsy). Took all of 15 minutes to install the new lenses. Popped open SteamVr Home first... and OMG the improvement was massive.

 

I've gone from a sweetspot that is maybe the size of a pencil eraser to a half dollar! Now in DCS, I can read labels on the left and right console without having to grab my headset and force in down. I can even see several items adjacent to those I'm looking directly at.

Wow, I didn't even know lens mods were a thing. You'd assume that the HMD manufacturers would be the best at making the lens for their kits, not a third party. I wonder if there are mods for the Reverb G1, as the sweetspot is pretty small...

one would think... but man, they blew it on the Fresnel lens
