sylkhan Posted December 1, 2020 Author Posted December 1, 2020 (edited) The AKG has an Imaging infrared seker, that means it can be used like AK and go directly to the target. And it has datalink + TV seeker to add MITL capacity. It can use one or the other. From 2010 ZHUHAI, CHINA The China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp. (Casic) has unveiled a new air-launched, land-attack cruise missile. The weapon, first shown here at Airshow China, is the latest member of the C-802 missile family. The CM-802AKG, as the new weapon is designated, also has longer range than the air-launched version of the anti-ship C-802A, a company official says. The CM-802AKG range exceeds 200 km, whereas the C-802A has a range of around 180 km. The missile weighs less than 700 kg and is equipped with a multipurpose warhead of slightly below 300 kg mass. One of the main design features of the weapon was achieving the range target at low weight, the Casic engineer notes. The CM-802AKG uses either an infrared seeker or TV-seeker for terminal guidance. It uses a strap-down inertial navigation system, but GPS-guidance kit could be installed. The missile is now in production in China, the Casic official says, and the company now is pursuing export customers. Edited December 1, 2020 by sylkhan
razo+r Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 (edited) And we have both ingame Something switch left and it will switch from IR to TV One button to lock onto the target and then the missile will guide itself to it That has nothing to do with your original question though which I hope you got your answer by now Edited December 1, 2020 by razo+r

No, something like in DIR/COO mode the AKG is autonomous and act like the AK, his imaging infrared seeker capure the target, and in Man mode, the pilot control the missile to select the target. 1 hour ago, razo+r said: That has nothing to do with your original question. It has. You don't have understood, that since the start of the thread the question is : "Is the AKG autonomous in DIR/COO mode ?" Seriously.... 1 hour ago, razo+r said: ...l question though which I hope you got your answer by now That's not important, we will use it, as Deka do it. If it is MITL in all mode, no problem for me, but in this case I don't see the point of "Man mode", DIR/COO mode are sufficient.
