HMD simplified - how to activate it?

Hi,

 

Is there additional setup up required for the HMD to be able to designate ground targets? I've turned the HMD knob on and it shows airspeed / heading etc but no option to designate or track targets.

 

Any help would be much appreciated!

Just before I wait any more of people's time. It's a new install of DCS and I had opted out of all beta programs. Is this because I need to opt into public beta on steam?

When in AG mastermode, press Sensor Control Switch Forward to assign the TDC to the HUD/HMD. This will let you designate with either the HUD or the HMD

AG designation is only available for Open Beta right now.
