go to http://www.saitek.com/ and download/install the latest drivers and the sst programming software for your os. setup a profile and save it. on the taskbar you will have a small icon. if you right click on it you should see your profile there. select it and off you go. should work. let me know if the problem persists. hope it works

cheers mate,

If you have Vista, there is a little trick to get the SST software to work.

Download the SST software, now use unzip and detach the parts in the application. Use only the software_loc9 to install the SST software.

Now it should work.

i think i will have to really put some time into this .

re- read the manuel several times .

did i read that i can NAME a mapped key , and it would show up in the mfd?

Unfortunately i don't have the pro, but i do that the standard X-52.

When the new drivers were released (to conincide with my new saitek peddles) and i installed them (after uninstalling the old drivers) I received a error with my Hotas and it wouldn't load up any profiles.

I contacted Saitek custome support (who are very quick at replying and excelent). They advised that the drivers dig deep and gave me a simple (but indepth) list to get in there and dig them out and re-install.

All worked fine after.

If i was you, email Siatek now. They will sort you out !

yes, the latest sst software doesnt seem to give you a 3d view. i got the same problem. but to map the buttons simple put the key as per lockon default setup in the field of the button. click on the field and press E.g. trigger: space, launch: enter, fire a: f to activate flaps. afterwards confirm with the green tickmark each input and when ready save. let me know what works from the above mentioned and what doesnt

thanks . i got so far as this ,,,

i can map and save , a single key .

example , f ,, for flaps ,

useing mod 3 ,and mapping to the A fire button .

also , mod 3 , g ,,for gear ,, fire B button .

now , i tryed to map the canopy ,,, ctrl -c , to the C fire button , but i get nothing . i also tryed a MACRO , ctrl-c , but still , nothing.

anyways , i am at least getting somewheres .

can you tell me how to use multiple keystrokes . like ,, ctrl-c , for the canopy .

thanks again .

ok ! it is easy - as with your example - click the box for the button and then press ctrl and then press c - important is that you release the button before you hit the next one - click on the green tick and save it
