Toozer1t Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 hi, i am new to dcs world and just bought F14-A/B. i am really lost how to start. where do i get the documentations? how do you get the plane off the carrier/deck? etc. etc. i have the 5120x1440 monitor that makes the game displayed outrageously out of proportion, where to adjust the display to bring back the proportion?
Wildwind Posted December 10, 2020 Posted December 10, 2020 Heatblur F-14 manual: http://heatblur.se/F-14Manual/ Chuck's Guide: https://www.mudspike.com/chucks-guides-dcs-f-14b-tomcat/ How to get off the ground/carrier? Check Training in the menu, there are training missions for that. Also how to start it up, land it, shut it down, and how to use the weapons. They're pretty good. I don't know how to answer your aspect ratio/field of view question, but I'm sure there's someone around who does.

In DCS options, System tab, right below resolution, there's aspect ratio which you can edit yourself. I think it'd be 3,555 (32:9) in your case. For starting the aircraft, Jester has a guided start up procedure for you which you can use any time you fly until you are comfortable starting the aircraft up. Once you get used to his check list, you can parse out the "BIT" (built in test) procedures since DCS World doesn't usually start you with failures! In the mean time, there are a BUNCH of helpful people on the 107th Through the Inferno Discord server which would be willing to help answer all your questions if you want more immediate help with something! https://throughtheinferno.com/ My YT Channel (DCS World, War Thunder and World of Warships) Too Many Modules to List --Unapologetically In Love With the F-14-- Anytime Baby! --
