AKA_Clutter Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 (edited) HI, Just got through flying the DCS F-16 in the G2. One thing I noticed is that the three distance rings on the HSD each consist of a blue and red ring, whereas flat panel squad mates see purple. If I move my head and look a certain way, I can line the blue and red rings up to show purple. Does anyone else see this? Is this normal,? Do I have something out of alignment,? Also, for me the Sweet spot/area of focus seems EXTREMLY small. If I move my eyes just a little with out moving my head, things get blurry quickly. I don't remember seeing that on my Rift S. Thanks for the input/responses. Galinette Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 This probably means your headset is not properly adjusted. If the rings do not look correct at the center, but when looking on the sides, adjust your IPD until they look correct on the center. If they look correct when looking from up or down, move your headset vertically and adjust straps. The sweet spot looks small because the sharpness is awesome at the center. For a given lens, if the definition is poor, the sweet spot will look large, and if the definition is very good, it will look small. They have upgraded panels a lot, and not much lenses.
ShaunX Posted December 15, 2020 Posted December 15, 2020 I fly the Viper with the G2. I see the rings as all purple. I don't find the sweet spot particularly small, though I've never used the Rift. What is your Stream VR SS percentage and cockpit resolution in DCS? I'm on 100% generic and 76% DCS app specific with DCS cockpit res at 1024. Even better at 100% but just a tad too much for my rig.
