Hey Charlsey. This is commonly known as a "DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED" crash. Your PC awaits for GPU calculations to be done but they don't come in the expected timing. DirectX then rings the bell, basically saying "the GPU is nowhere to be found, and I can't do what I'm asked for without it".

When DCS crashes this way, it often comes from an overclocked GPU. Is yours overclocked?

Here are some piece of advice from people who had the same issue. As you can see, there are a lot of different cases.

@Flappie Just a quick update from me. Yesterday I played War Thunder for the first time and after a while it crashed too. I took out my graphics card, dusted it off and put it back in. It might not have been in perfectly before. I also moved the computer case farther from my UPS, which gets hot. I'll try DCS again sometime this week and let you know. I've only ever flown with the F-14, but I'll try the Su-25T too.

Hi Flappie, I throttle my card to a maximum of 1820 frequency, ran DCS in VR for over an hour last night and not had one crash.

These high clocks that are being used by stock, maybe causing a lot of others to see the DX back end error.?

I've solved the problem... I've just uninstall reshade (install the previous version). I've forgot to uninstall it with mods last time... Thanks for your time and your support !

For other people, Reshade 2.5.4 don't works with DCS in VR but works well with a screen...

Hi BigNewy,

I reverted back to default clock speed and looks like it worked.

Thank you

After further testing seems like the crashes are SSLR related...when it's ON the game crashes after few minutes of gameplay. When SSLR is OFF crashes seem to disappear. That's abit strange because my card is ray tracing compatible (RTX).

and also this (faulty PSU): https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/229197-resolvedbranlis-crash-thread/?do=findComment&comment=4390134

Happy hunting! The GPU OC is the most probable cause.
