P-51 Landing Tutorial.

I am new to DCS and am unable to finish the training mission on landing the P-51 Mustang.  I get to the point were the instructor ask to set the rpm to 2,700 and turn off the gyro gunsight thing in case of a rough landing and then it freezes and does not get to the next step.  I am looking at my RPM dial and it is just above the 25 mark and I think I am reading it right but the tutorial never gets past this point.  I am not sure if I am missing something stupid but would like some help so I can go on to the challenge campaign and land on my own.

It's been a while, but I ran through the landing mission a couple times to see if it hangs up for me. The first time I set the aircraft as required and immediately after turning off the gunsight gyro it advanced me to the next step. The second time I tried keeping the RPM under 2700, and in this condition it did not advance, as expected. So everything is working normally for me in the latest version of OpenBeta.

 

When it hangs up for you, do you see the yellow control prompts in the cockpit, or do they disappear? If the prompts are still visible chances are your aircraft isn't quite set within parameters. Although if you have the gyro off and the RPM set I can't imagine what the problem could be.

Here is a picture of my RPM dials and the gyro lever so you can see if it is set correctly or not.

the gyro switch is in the correct position, but the RPM is a bit too low, about 2650. Try to give her a bit more revs. These yellow boxes should disappear when you reach the correct value.

On these training missions, sometimes you have to go through the value asked for.

Yeah I tried this today and still it would not continue.  I pressed the page up button once then waited 30-45 seconds for the tutorial to continue and did this for every rpm setting but still no luck.  I did teach myself to land by watching videos on youtube and can manage now.  Is it OK if I post another question here about the P-51 I do not want to ask a bunch of questions in the forum since I am having a lot of trouble with flying.

It sounds like you are experiencing a tutorial glitch. If you can learn to land via other means however, that is great. Should be fine to post more questions here.

It happened to me. Try to let the voice over instructor to finish the talking then perform the steps before pressing space bar. It works for me.

The tutorial is rigid and scripted. Must redo every step every time. I skipped it after a while and found some youtube videos instead. Nothing essential one can't get elsewhere.

This. It seems to be the case for a lot of the training missings, across at least some of the modules. Have to wait for the audio to completely finish before the script trigger is active.

This is still bugged. Bought the module today and cannot finish the landing tutorial. I waited until the audio stopped and then lowered the RPM and turned off the gyro.
