Augusto_Vicco Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Just installed DCS on my new computer. I can get into the main menu but whenever I load a mission and press fly the game black screens and loads up the crash reporter. Interestingly enough the games seems to run in fullscreen (not windowed in any case) but at the lowest possible resolution just fine, but crashes at 3440x1440. Never had this before. Any help from ED is much appreciated! I have attatched my crash report. dcs.log-20201226-065202.zip
Flappie Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Hi Augusto. You're having the "DXGI_DEVICE_REMOVED" kind of crash. Here are four threads dealing with the same kind of crashlog ("DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED"). The OPs all had their issue fixed, according to them. Feel free to read them and try what they have tried: Cause: faulty PSU Cause: SSLR enabled Cause: overclocked GPU Cause: RAM overclocked ---

Any idea why this is? would it happen to be on my end or DCS's? Anyways I can fly agagin now so much appreciated!
Flappie Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 You're welcome. DCS is not fond of overclocking. I have no idea why. ---
Augusto_Vicco Posted December 27, 2020 Author Posted December 27, 2020 Interesting... oh well I was never one to get lucky with sillicon and couldnt push my card much further anyways. I wonder if this will solve similar unexplained crashes i get in MSFS, I'll see when I find that time for that sim. Anyways DCS does seems to be running smoothly now so ive committed to downloading the 200 gigs worth of modules i have for this game
