Installing AI Liveries Question

Hi All

 

Not sure if this has been asked before. Where do we install the skins for the AI?

 

Do they go into the main directory or to Saved Games folder with all the other skins?

I prefer to place them at /Saved Games/DCS/Liveries ... the names for the AI units that I know, can be seen on this screen capture:

 

Please note that some other liveries are alongside the AI units, the player aircraft Modules, and also the custom cockpits (those start with "cockpit_").

 

Within each AI unit folder, each livery should go onto its own sub-folder, like this:

Rudel_chw, How do you determine what the proper label is for each AI plane folder? I mean, how do you find out that the KC-135's folder in Saved Games is actually kc-135 whereas the KC-135MPRS is labeled KC135MPRS.

For most AI, its livery folder name is the one used here:

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Bazar\Liveries

Some AI are the product of third parties, and so their location is not the one I indicated above, for example the KC-135 MPRS was created by Razbam, its liveries can be found here:

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\CoreMods\aircraft\AV8BNA\Liveries
