I had a flight last night and got this error message during start up, that I was unable to clear.......what would cause this and is there a way to solve it? Never had it happen before and was just the usual ramp start procedure......

System specs: PC1 :Scan 3XS Ryzen 5900X, 64GB Corsair veng DDR4 3600, EVGA GTX 3090 Win 10, Quest Pro, Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo monitor.

It means INS is not coupled to GPS. Once the INS is aligned during startup, the mode switch should be set to IFA.

That's partially correct. The 'P/INS' advisory means that the INS isn't being corrected by GPS. The 'INS ATT' caution means that the INS is not providing accurate attitude data (usually accompanied with the 'INS DEGD' caution), or is not the current source of attitude data. At startup, while the INS is being aligned, the aircraft uses the ADC to act as a degraded INS (basically it goes into an AHRS mode).

OK, so I did the normal procedure IE, set to CV, selected stored heading, when it said OK on the HSI, I set to IFA, ( all normal procedure) but the error message remained as well as all the associated issues like the FPM moving around and no bomb pipper etc...

I am pretty conversant with start up procedure, do a ramp start every flight so pretty sure I did nothing wrong.....I only had the INS ATT message, nothing else.....
