Jtac laser target designation question

What is the best way to designate the target lased by the Jtac?   My LST is picking up the target properly but the weapon system does not seem to engage on it so does not do the auto release of the bombs.    

I fiddle around, generally going on the map MPCD, unboxing the DESG button then boxing it again and then my vertical line appears and auto bomb works...just seems the wrong way to do it.  Would think it could be done just using the HOTAS? Tried the TDC down but not working.

I had exactly this question today. I was using a WO/S from the IP (from the 9 line) to get close to the tgt (I've actually never used the O/S function before - it's awesome), JTAC lasing -> pick up with LST, then I hit DESG to get the HUD symbology up and ready to drop. Was worried it would designate the O/S as opposed to the lased target but it didn't so seems to be fine. That worked for me, if there is alternative way then keen to hear it!

Sorry to bring up an old post but I've recently been looking into LST mode and bombing with it. The way I understand it from reading the TAC-000 manual is that when the LST captures the laser PRF (3 times) it locks onto it and automatically designates it then computes the bombing solution for AUTO mode. In DCS however I noticed that the LST picks up the laser designation but to get the bombing solution you have to press/release the TDC to get the bomb fall line to appear in AUTO mode.  i believe this may be a bug but want to do a bit of research first before I post it as a bug.
