dburne Posted January 24, 2021 Posted January 24, 2021 (edited) Hey gang, So I have been learning to utilize the Walleye Bombs with Data Link 13 Pod. For TDC Slew I am using the slew axis on my new Virpil CM3 throttle. It has two axis plus push. I have realistic TDC Slew checked in the Special tab for the Hornet. The way I am understanding this is supposed to work, I push in on the slew and move it along horizontal and vertical axis whilst holding the button down, then when I have it where I want it I release the button and it should stay on that spot. But in my case it is not, it continues to move and I am constantly trying to slew it back over the target as the bomb approaches. Is that the way it is supposed to work, am I mis-understanding something here? Thanks for any tips, Edited January 24, 2021 by dburne Don B EVGA Z390 Dark MB | i9 9900k CPU @ 5.1 GHz | Gigabyte 4090 OC | 64 GB Corsair Vengeance 3200 MHz CL16 | Corsair H150i Pro Cooler |Virpil CM3 Stick w/ Alpha Prime Grip 200mm ext| Virpil CM3 Throttle | VPC Rotor TCS Base w/ Alpha-L Grip| Point Control V2|Varjo Aero|
bfr Posted January 24, 2021 Posted January 24, 2021 The seeker needs what you're targeting to have decent contrast in the video screen to lock. When the contrast is so-so then you often need to coax it back onto the target mid-flight but the relative size of the target and then image contrast should improve with reduced distance to target and it should eventually lock on. 1

Ok that must be it then thanks I will keep plugging away with it. LTRMcrew Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 As bfr mentioned it has to do with the contrast... annoying? immense, but you can always go to area track to hold it in the area, then, again as bfr mentioned, when you get closer hopefully the contrast as improved on target and you can slew once again to the actual target.
