cannot reproduce and missing track file TGP error - black screen, no cursor, MFD buttons not working only hotas

Hi,

 

I have this strange issue with the F-16 in Multiplayer (VR) when I equip a TGP and Mavericks.
Request Rearm -> add TGP, Mavs etc -> Rearming complete -> power on TGP, Power on Mav.
Wait for TGP to timeout ->

- screen is black, slew will result in the Mav in Pre mode to slew (TGP is SOI)

- point lock will display point in tgp but nothing is visible

- TV/WHot/BHot can be changed via Hotas control but pressing the MFD button will not do anything (button is pressed, no option changes)

- MFD standby button works

- MFD FOV button does not work - hotas button will change the wide/narrow readout on the MFD though

 

Can't figure out when this happens. seems random hence extremely difficult to reproduce

Removing the TGP and then equipping it again including TGP power off first does not solve the issue. Changing slots to a different F16 is the only way to get it to work.

Anyone with the same issue?

Have you input a waypoint for TGP to be slewed too? If so, increment away then decrement back.

yes, tried that. no success. Will try and capture the problem in action and post again.

your tgp is in standby mode.  Click the upper left button, the uncheck the STDBY button.

The reason this happens is because you didn't turn on the TGP while on ground. However, you can correct this in mid-air. Once TGP has been powered on and gone through it's startup cycle (no longer says "NOT TIMED OUT"), If the screen is black with all the options but no video,  simply hit the standby button on the MFD while on TGP mode.  then hit the A/G button in the TGP MFD page. It should now show video
