rwbishUP Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 I'm going to order usb button interfaces for a panel project. Plan on ordering a couple 64 button boards. But, I read that some software and sims only support x amount of buttons/switches from a single board. Was just wondering if anyone knows of a button board limit in DCS. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, ROG ASTRAL RTX5080, G.SKILL TRI Z5 64gb, 4tb M.2 x 2, WIN 11 PRO x64
amido Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 the limit is imposed by the card you use, in DCS you can use all the keys you find in the configurator, so you will have as many USB sockets for how many cards you use.

IIRC the limit is 64, in other sims it is 32. Even if you only fly DCS now, you might want to be flexible in your planning. Of course you can always use software (e.g. vJoy) to make a 64 input controller look like two 32 inputs ones or stuff like that,
Sokol1_br Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 DCS allow use up to 128 buttons USB controller (don't know how many. IL-2:GB (Bo"X") up to 64 and up to 8 USB controllers. IL-2:46 up to 32 and up to 4 USB controllers. Leo Bodnar BBI-64 support up to 64 buttons, but no axes inputs. Derek Speare Designs DSD 64 up to 64 buttons, no axes inputs. DIY MMjoy2 (Arduino ATMEGA32u4), FreeJoy (STM32F103) allow use up to 128 buttons (plus POV HAT, 8 axes inputs in analog and digital mode).
