DCS Random Crashes -

Heh, I've been getting away with 8GB pagefile on top of 32GB ever since I installed DCS on freshly set up secondary machine.

 

It gets tight in MP with caucasus, but playable just fine, RAM goes to 31 after a few hours, literally getting away with it, pagefile usage at that point is around 40% of that 8GB if the numbers in MSI Afterburner are to be believed (I'll double check with other methods next time)

 

Syria in Multiplayer ... that's a no go, that'll have to wait for the new PC, which I've always seen as a 64GB RAM design and nothing less, already got em, but dang CPUs / GPUs are hard to get ... I'll wait also for the prices to normalize.

Your crashes are suspicious if it's not low memory causing them.

Same here. Usually, it means the disk having the pagefile is full, but the dxdiag shows there is plenty of room in all PaulG's drives.

Hey @PaulG. I'm still trying to find out what causes your crashes. I've read the whole thread again, and I think it might be caused by an external software. Can you please attach your process list? Just open "cmd" and launch this command:

 

tasklist > Desktop/process_list.txt

I'm writing you regarding the page file, I used as you recommended a 32Gb page file on my system SSD coupled with my initial 32Gb of RAM.

I haven't flew so much since we talked about it. But I did two full flights.

I'm sad to say that we only got arround the problem, because a lot of people are running DCS with only 16Gb of RAM.
