PJPower05 Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 Hi all! I have gotten to the point in which I feel confident enough to fly the F15C in combat scenarios. It is taken a lot of trial and errors, but I am now able to take off, land (both VFR and ILS), refuel, and engage hostiles. **I am not god's gift to DCS, but feel I can begin (albeit poorly) learning my way through campaigns) It has taken literally hours of practice, reading, etc. However, now that I have downloaded the F15C Red Flag Campaign, I have AI wing men, and while I kinda understand the functions, I can not for the life of me find any resources explaining what each command does. Does anyone have a link/video that can help me out? Thanks for your time. PS- Also have the Viper/F18/F5 that I am slowly learning as well!
dark_wood Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 (edited) Hi, i assume that if you have F-15 then maybe you have the whole FC3 package, so: Go to your DCS installation folder: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\Su-25T\Doc Open DCS World Su-25T Flight Manual EN.pdf Navigate to page 41 or search for wingmen Enjoy the reading Edited February 25, 2021 by dark_wood 1

dark_wood Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 You are right, i had the impression that Su-25 is free and Su25-T is on FC3, forgotten that
Exorcet Posted February 25, 2021 Posted February 25, 2021 While the manual explains what is supposed to happen, the AI will follow commands with varying levels of success. My opinion from experience is that wingmen need a bit of hand holding. Lock on to the enemy from as far as possible and designate targets for them to attack one by one ( example wingman 2 >attack my target - while locked on to the enemy you want the wingman to attack). DCS has a second element command but it's random on what module gets it. I don't think FC3 planes do, but you can work around this by giving your entire flight a command (the best ones are "engage bandits" or "cover me") and then telling wingman 2 to rejoin formation.
