tmansteve Posted March 3, 2021 Posted March 3, 2021 Hi All Not sure if this should be here or not. I am having real problems with my ISP at the moment and it's slower than normal. I was wondering if it would be better for the person with the fastest connection to host? Will this help me out or will it have no real impact. If anyone has any ideas, I would be grateful Cheers

If anyone has any ideas, I would be grateful Cheers DCS Multiplayer it's not so much hungry of bandwidth, so the speed itself in terms of Mbps is not the key point, it will be helpful only on new client connections and large scale mission to transfer all the briefing image and so on. To host a server you have to take care about latency ( ping measured in ms ) and the CPU power to make all the AI calculation of the mission and so on. tmansteve Posted March 5, 2021 Author Posted March 5, 2021 Thanks Maverick Didn't know if the servers were to blame or not. Will minimise my missions until better connection comes.
