I fly OQ2 and find that planes in the air and only planes in the air are surrounded by a grey-ish haze. Is it some setting (heat blur? flare?) when they are very far away.  They appear normal within 1 mile range. What gives? All other things on the ground are okay though.

Also. I am aware there is a FoV setting, what would be the best setting for OQ2?

Thank you.

To illustrate my point, I have made some short clips:

Ground view, all planes look normal:

Flying close, still normal:

Far away, this is a bit hard to see, the plane becomes a small blurry spot:

They are recording directly to an iPad through casting. No other editing is done other than cutting from a longer clip.

Note that the colour here is very different than what I see through OQ2, and the latter seems to cast a yellow hue.

I have the G2 and that has been my issue with clarity from day one. I mostly do BFM and Kinda getting use to the blur.
hopeful my new rig with the 3090 does better and of course hoping for an E D solution/update. I just got to where if it runs smooth with no studders at 45fps it’s good enough for me... I guess.

Last night I put my steam render resolution on Auto and 90Hz and and my video multiplier @ 54% and man it made a big difference in clarity and smoothness in a multiplayer server. But yeah I have the G2 so your OQ2 stuff is different. Have you tried to run your resolution on Auto?

Oh, sure will try!

Edit: There is a "per application setting", but there is not "auto" setting for each app. I guess that is for the use of SteamVR only, not the games running on it.
