blackvette702 Posted March 7, 2021 Posted March 7, 2021 Can someone tell me how to change the DCS mods folder from the C- drive to another drive that has more room without screwing thing up?

I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but the Saved Games folder can be moved by right clicking on it -> Properties -> Location -> Move: (Spanish windows, but hopefully similar to your language one) For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
Archer_111 Posted March 13, 2021 Posted March 13, 2021 I think I found the right way to do it as shown in the following link. So far everything works as supposed including all short-cuts . 1. Create a system restore point before doing the following; 2. Go to cmd (Command app running as an administrator: robocopy "source" "destination" /sec /move /e Enter, then; 3. mklink "SOURCE" "DESTINATION" /j It is a simple and sure way to move directories in Windows.

Its useful to move generic folders ... but Saved Games is a special Windows folder and has its own tool to move it. 1 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

greyeagle787 Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 Hey Guys, new to DCS as well as Windows. (Old MAC user). I tried to move my Saved Games folder from C to D and under properties there was no “location” tab. 1) How do I get that tab to show up, if possible? And 2) To Rudel_chw, What tool do I use to move this special Windows folder? Thanks!

Thanks! the Properties -> location tab has a button to move the folder, see here: If you don’t have a location tab, it means that your saved games folder was crated manually, instead of being created Automatically by windows when your user account was created.
