Hello. Anybody to explain me how to use radio communications in single mission in a spitfire ? I can open the communication table on the up right screen side and ask the tower to take off for instance but the tower doesn't answer. How to set radio frequency ? I can read radio frequencies in the mission briefing but it looks like I have to go back in mission editor to set the good frequencies showed into the briefing. Once take off's done how to communicate with wingmen to ask them to rejoin or to attack any target? Thanks Once in the air I can't communicate anymore with wingmen cause the communication table doesn't pop anymore. Thanks for answers.

It seems you use realistic comms option? Good, keeep in mind a few things then:

1) The tower and ground crew responds only if the airbase you're on belongs to the same side as you (ie. "red" coalition or "blue" coalition). If it's "neutral", they won't respond. Yes, the airbase colour needs to be set up in the mission editor;

2) Go to control assignments, set up "push to talk" (by default Alt \ combo if I recall correctly) and use that one instead of "communication" command (default \). The former works both in the air and on the ground, the latter works only on the ground;

3) Yes, the radio in the Spit works pretty much like the one in the Mustang - you have to set the channel frequencies in the mission editor - they cannot be tuned in flight. Then, while you fly, push the required channel button on the radio, press the "push to talk" key/button and you should be able to communicate with other flights and ATC.

Thanks so much Art-J. It works. To configure the right button to push and talk. To check the right color for the airfield and to set the channel as mentionned into the choosed mission and...it works. Thanks again.

I this a good time to remind of a 7 year old suggestion?

I took damage to the radio and it resulted in a loud annoying hissing noise.  Pressing the radio off button killed it.   Just meant that I was unable to use SRS for the rest of my sortie which I found very cool and realistic.
