Hi

Is anyone else having problems with running the Syria Map. Everytime i tried to load, it gets to a certain point then just stops. I know my machine is more than capable of running it. Help would be appreciated

can you let us know your system spec, 

 

RAM, GPU,CPU, and what type of hard drives you have SSD / HDD

 

also please attach your dcs log after the issue happens, you can find it in your saved games dcs log folder, it should give us some clues.

Did you try a DCS repair?

 

If yes, please try to Rename your SavedGames\DCS Folder to e.g. "DCS Backup" and try it with a clean folder to avoid this being related to a configuration issue (I had this once).

Im running Intel I5 2.50Ghz with NVIDIA GTX1650 Graphics card and 8GB of RAM with 500GB SSD

check your page file is set high enough in windows. 

 

8gb RAM is minimum for DCS so you will want to reduce settings. 

 

if you can attach your dcs log it will give us more clues 

 

example C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS\Logs 

dcs.log

Hm, sorry to disappoint you, my friend, but "more than capable"? No, I don't think so. The Syria map is extremely demanding! 8 GB of RAM is definitely

not enough to run it sensibly - the map alone, with no action on it and you alone in your plane will eat approx. 14-16 GB of RAM.
