Ddg1500 Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 (edited) I found F14a cockpit whining sound of tf30 disappeared, which sound truly weird, I can’t judge my thrust condition through sound when I am doing carrier landing, and idea why? And yes it’s 100% reproducible Edited March 12, 2021 by grumman f14
Ddg1500 Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 This issue doesn’t exist in B version, but do in A
draconus Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 There are at least 3 constant cockpit noises in A: 1. high pitch engines' whine, no pitch changes with RPM changes, disappears in AB 2. actual engines' whine, changes pitch with RPM changes, appears less louder than the other two 3. ECS noise (check air source) You mean #2? Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
Ddg1500 Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 (edited) Yes, #2, and I presume that sound is actually from the rear nozzle, not the internal whining sound Edited March 12, 2021 by grumman f14
draconus Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 OK, so no #2 sound at all, even quiet? Try DCS repair. Do you run some mods? Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
Ddg1500 Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 I haven't run mods of any kind,I’m trying to fix it now
Ddg1500 Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 (edited) It’s doesn’t work, there is a defected file but it isn’t about the sound, it’s something unknown, the issue still there Edited March 12, 2021 by grumman f14
draconus Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 Can you show your \saved games\dcs\logs\dcs.log? Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria

Ddg1500 Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 the sound file itself is not something i can open, i don't have the software
draconus Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 (edited) There are errors that might be causing it: ERROR SOUND: invalid source_params(F14_PILOT_COCKPIT:aircrafts/engines/tf30engineint01): gain ERROR SOUND: invalid source_params(F14_PILOT_COCKPIT:aircrafts/engines/tf30engineint02): gain I have to check my own log later. I use standalone version however - not Steam. Edit: it's not that. I have these errors too. Ddg1500 Posted March 12, 2021 Author Posted March 12, 2021 (edited) denfinitely a bug cause the one of f110 doesn't guess is these two file TF30EngineInt02.sdef Tf30EngineInt01.sdef Edited March 12, 2021 by grumman f14
draconus Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 I have the same errors in logs, but I hear the RPM changes in the A, it's subtle though. Maybe it's your sound system that you can't discern it from the noise? Sdef's are just text - definition files. Check if you have the waves in main DCS installation dir: D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\CoreMods\aircraft\F14\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Engines\Overhauled\ F14_Engine_Int_TF30_01.wav F14_Engine_Int_TF30_02.wav Win10 i7-10700KF 32GB RTX4070S Quest 3 T16000M VPC CDT-VMAX TFRP FC3 F-14A/B F-15E CA SC NTTR PG Syria
