Brian Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 I got a deal on a like new in box HOTAS Cougar kit. I'd like to upgrade to the new magnetic base, but then how would the throttle work?? Since the throttle plugs into the old 'Cougar' base. Go easy on me I'm new to this. Thanks in advance.
crash test pilot Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 https://realsimulator.com/tusba/ A bit pricey, but works oob, else it is diy with mmjoy2 and a pro micro... May i suggest to have a look at the virpil warbrd base instead of tm´s warthog base? Much better!

Thanks in advance. get hall sensor and usb standalone conversion kit from this forum thread, it´s about 50€ and mega-easy to install, no skills required. https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/188571-tm-cougar-ch-magnetoresistive-hall-sensor-kits/ For the base I can´t help though. Once you got the throttle converted, you could buy any normal warthog base or virpil or vkb, some are compatible. Brian Posted March 17, 2021 Author Posted March 17, 2021 (edited) Thanks for the information, I will look into them, The TUSBA looks like the easy option, but the other option looks to be cheaper, and upgrades the throttle at the same time. Is there any way to make the throttle a little more 'stiff' maybe a little more resistance when you move it forward and back? Brian Edited March 17, 2021 by Brian
