Slewing F2 view with mini-stick?

Anyone know how to get the F2 view slewable with a throttle mini-stick rather than having to use the mouse?

 

That would be very useful, particularly in VR.

That would seems difficult considering the mini stick is categories as axis mapping function and the slew button is not.
Hey! someone who knows better might maybe able to hack this.

It works in a certain other MS FS OK as multi function axis, but I appreciated what you're saying.  However, all sorts of stuff have different functions in different views/modes, so why not the stick?

Dcs might have the mini stick hard-coded to use axis mapping only.
Just wondering though, wouldn't the mini stick be too finicky and touchy to be use as a controlled view slew button?
Beats me why the mini stick is not freed up for other mapping function beside axis.
I guess getting hotas mapping as close to the real life one could be why.

I’m on a Virpil CM3, not a WH, so I don’t have that issue!

Virpil CM3! Now I know why you are after getting mapping the mini stick. That throttle looks really great. I just love the fact that it is full of buttons and hats. Enough to go around for the essential mappings especially in vr.
How do you work your radar/mfd cursor if you want to want to convert the mini stick to a button function. That throttle if I recur very well has got one ministick.

Well, I use it for TDC control. I would not want to replace that, but use it in a different context, i.e. in F2 view. 
There are lots of HOTAS controls that have different functions depending on context, so surely this must be doable.
