Anyone treid Google's Chrome browser yet? I know it's beta, and I've read already that it's hacker-prone, but that has not been confirmed. I'm just a bit reluctant to give it a spin, especially on the wife's computer!:music_whistling: But i thought I'd ask to see if anyone has any personal experience, and can recomend it.

there is a large thread in the computer forum I visit frequently with many user experiences.

Overall it seems to be extremely fast (much faster than FF3, etc) but very early to really decide how good it is overall. I believe java is not working properly yet either. Being open source it will have the great advantage that Linux has in that everything is visible and any security problem should be easily found and taken care of. I wouldn't really use it yet to replace FF3 or Opera until it is more "seasoned" though.

What I like most is 1) open source, 2) multithreaded, 3) it seems to be really fast

I tried it for a bit earlier today and it is indeed really fast. Also appears to follow web standards very well so I hope it takes a big chunk of IE's market share. I'll wait to see if it's anything I'll be using much though. Firefox plugins are just too good.

I tried fast but it doesn't have web scalling, so it rejected me from it.

I’m very satisfied with the security features of Firefox 3. I feel no need to jump into the Google wagon. I do have concerns on the web security features regarding privacy & exploits, since its new…
