Dogfighting gun only vs F5

I'm playng the beautiful Bio's Campaign Zone 5 and most of the mission are dogfight missions. In these missions it is for me very difficult to defeat the aggressor (mostly F5) in ACM. I know that turn rate has tanked with the update of last november but I would like to know if other players are experiencing my difficulties in dogfighting or it is just my inability.

I can deal with F-5 but the Viper is much harder for me yet still doable. Somehow going slower gives me better results against AI. I'm not precise enough to master the Tomcat's optimal rates yet so the results are not consistent. This is Top Gun after all

I highly suggest to use practice missions included in campaign folder.

I hope you know already how to fly the F-14 in high AoA.
