F/A-18C SERPENT’S HEAD 2 CAMPAIGN 2.7 UPDATE NOW WITH OPTIONAL SUPER CARRIER VERSIONS.

Perhaps I need to throw in the towel now. I am just not getting this mission this time around of flying the campaign.

I got the mortar placement no problem.

First tank I got no problem - it was stationary after I extended and started another run in, located and got it with FLIR no problem.

Next tank - got it no problem using GMT. Thanks so  much for that, very cool way to do it.

Next tank - nothing showing up on GMT, so I assume it is stationary, but I just can not find it.

 

Been trying this mission most of the week. Maybe will try again tomorrow.

Admire your persistence. Last  tank is on the road to the west of the airfield, opposite side. Moving south to north initially but comes to test to the west side of the airfield and continues to fire.

Thanks that must be what it did and why it was not showing up on GMT.

Will have another go here soon. I will let ya know. This is one tough mission.

Ok that's it.

Today I can not even locate the second tank using GMT like I did yesterday.

Several attempts.

I think that's enough for me at this point. Apparently this mission is now way beyond my capabilities for some reason.

Just leave it come back to it some time in the future. You have already beat it once.

Next campaign is due out soon hopefully.

Well I threw caution to the wind and gave it one more try and succeeded! LOL.

Apparently I was working too slowly for using GMT today as tanks had already come to a stop.

So used only FLIR and finally got them. Mission success!!

Mission 10:

With simplified refueling how long should it take once I am behind tanker?

I notified with intent to refuel , got directly behind tanker on left as if I were going to connect, and stayed there but never got any notice of fueling.

Note I had no trouble with it in Mission 3.

Going to have another go and see what happens.

Well I got the refueling on next attempt.

Still failed the mission though thanks to the surprise ugh.

 

Edit: Ok got it on next try, whew !
