Hoggorm Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 Hello, I'd like to create a flight where the aircraft is sitting on the parking spot at airport A for 30 minutes, then start up, depart, fly at its normal speed (i.e. not nearly stalling nor with afterburner) through a series of waypoints and land at airport B. Some problems: The aircraft is starting up immediately at mission start time 0615. If I change the start time to 0645 it will not stay for 30 minutes, but rather suddenly appear out of nowhere at 0645. The speed it flies at is really odd. Either full afterburner or nearly stalling. I've tried to untick the Fixed time, but then the mission editor will not allow the mission to save. I cannot understand the logic of the GS and Fixed time checkboxes. Must I really know, and calculate, the ground speed and distance to set a fixed time at landing when I really do not have a requirement for the aircraft to land at a specific time. I only need it to depart at the correct time and land when it gets there.

You need to 'start on ramp'>'Uncontrolled' Then set an option in the Task menu for a 'Start' Then 'Time more than 1800 > AI task > Start' Then put in the waypoints..
Hoggorm Posted April 17, 2021 Author Posted April 17, 2021 Yes, this is for an AI aircraft. I tried to follow your description, but unfortunately I lost you. You say 'start on ramp'>'Uncontrolled'. I find Takeoff from Ramp but no "Uncontrolled"? What is this? - Then set an option in the Task menu for a 'Start' - Then 'Time more than 1800 > AI task > Start' I assume you mean the advanced waypoint actions? I could find a Time More under "Start Enroute Task", but no 1800 (I assume this is sec?) and no AI task and no Start. I guess I'm looking at the wrong place?
StevanJ Posted April 17, 2021 Posted April 17, 2021 (edited) This should help you out Trigger ONCE> Condition TIME MORE 1800> Action AI TASK PUSH. If you watch this and need more input, just let me know.. Edited April 17, 2021 by StevanJ
Hoggorm Posted April 18, 2021 Author Posted April 18, 2021 Thank you StevanJ! The video was helpful. I've been testing for a bit last evening and starting to understand a bit more
