Krys06 Posted May 2, 2021 Share Posted May 2, 2021 On the F-18 (maybe it's the same with another aircraft), when following an aircraft, the HUD display is blurred by the hot gases coming out of the nozzle of the preceding aircraft. It's like if the display of the HUD was behind the gases... The readibility of the HUD should not be impacted by the heat blur.
