I highly doubt it. ED rarely uses 3rd Party software. The only other software I can think of is Speed-Trees. Most of everything they implement is in-house developed.

You can check yourself, search for "Simul*.dll" files in DCS folders.

There are three API flavours for TrueSky; Unity, Unreal and Standalone. Knowing DCS is not using Unity or Unreal it could only use Standalone.

You can also download TrueSky API yourself.

Thank you Dunx but I'm not sure if I got it... Where exactly have I to have a look when looking for these API files? What folder or folders?

Posted (edited)

I searched the entire DCS installation folder hierarchy.

EDIT: BTW, you can google "trueSky SDK documentation" to get information about the DLLs needed for the API.

The problem is I'm not competent enough to see relations between files, so I won't know if whether or not a DCS file was implemented to make TrueSky work in the game.

I did not find any evidence of the trueSky API in DCS.
